How to Reach

Chiang Mai International Airport lies around seven kilometres from the hotel, usually seventeen to twenty minutes by car. Grab and taxis from the official counter are the easiest options, and fares are inexpensive. The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle, so booking a ride in advance helps for late arrivals. Traffic on weekday evenings can extend the trip.

Grab and Bolt work throughout Chiang Mai and provide fixed prices, avoiding negotiation. Red songthaews, the shared pickup trucks, cruise the main roads and cost little, but prices should be agreed before getting in. They are useful for trips to the old city and Doi Suthep. Drivers rarely speak much English, so showing the destination on a phone helps.

Chiang Mai Railway Station is around seventeen minutes away by car and serves overnight trains to Bangkok. The sleeper train takes around eleven to thirteen hours and is a memorable experience. Booking early is essential in high season.

The Arcade bus station handles buses to Pai, Chiang Rai and Bangkok. Minivans to Pai leave several times a day, and the ride includes the famous winding road.

Renting a motorbike gives freedom but requires an international licence valid for motorcycles and a helmet. Police checkpoints are frequent, especially near the old city.

RTC city buses have stops within a short walk, providing a cheap alternative on certain routes. Schedules are less frequent than in Bangkok.

During the Yi Peng and Loy Krathong lantern festival in November, roads close and traffic slows dramatically, so walking or planning extra time is essential.
